Holistic Dementia Care

RUKUN Senior Care has over a decade of experience in supporting seniors with dementia through a Person-Centered Care approach that focuses on the abilities still possessed, not just the diagnosis they face. Daily programs are designed to help maintain cognitive function, improve mood, and encourage positive social interaction.

Activity as Therapy for Dementia

Research shows that meaningful activities and consistent social interaction play an important role in dementia support. Therefore, we apply the philosophy of Activity as Therapy, making daily activities part of the care approach.

Through activities tailored to each senior’s ability and interest, seniors are encouraged to stay active, engaged, and empowered. Facilitated programs include physical exercise, cognitive stimulation, art and creative activities, group games, gardening, and various social activities that help preserve remaining function while improving quality of life.

Seniors living with family can also participate in the Dementia Day Program, held Monday–Friday from 9:00–15:00 at RUKUN Senior Care.

Nursing Care for Intensive Support

RUKUN Senior Care also provides accommodation with Nursing Care services for seniors who require a high level of physical support, whether for short-term or long-term care.

Our nursing and caregiver assists with various daily needs, including mobility, personal hygiene, medication administration, health condition monitoring, and other support needed so seniors can enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Active and Meaningful Daily Life

Quality of life is not only determined by physical condition, but also by opportunities to remain active, connected with others, and enjoy pleasant experiences. Therefore, life at RUKUN Senior Care is designed to encourage participation and engagement through various activities suited to each senior’s ability. From relaxing in the garden, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, to regular recreation programs, each activity aims to create more meaningful and enjoyable days.

Field Trip

To enrich the quality of life for seniors (Life Enrichment), seniors can also join tours to various destinations outside the campus, such as parks, shopping centers, restaurants, and other recreation areas. These activities provide opportunities to enjoy new atmospheres, maintain connection with the surrounding environment, and enrich positive experiences that support daily quality of life.

Green Garden

One of the standout facilities at RUKUN Senior Care is a spacious green garden where seniors can connect with nature to support physical and emotional health. The area is equipped with planting plots, various fruit and vegetable plants, walking paths, and safe and comfortable outdoor activity areas. Through interaction with nature, seniors have opportunities to move more actively, enjoy fresh air and greenery, and feel tranquility that supports overall wellbeing.

Research shows that outdoor activities like this provide beneficial stimulation to maintain engagement, reduce anxiety, and improve mood.
